In making AlgalAid, we have selected a family of plants that have long been recognized as effective in inhibiting the replication of various strains of HSV invitro. They have also been used safely by Alaskan compounding pharmacists for more than 25 years, with many anecdotal reports of their efficacy against cold sores. But we want proof. And that’s where you can help. We are conducting a double-blind study.
So here’s how it works.
- Determine if you are eligible to participate in the study.
- Fill out the form below.
- We’ll send you a tube of either AlgalAid or the control cold sore treatment. – you won’t know which one you have (but we will).
- Use the tube according to the directions provided and when you are done, then you just fill out our clinical study survey.
- Once you have filled out that survey, we will send you a tube of AlgalAid absolutely free! It is that simple!
All your information is strictly confidential and your mailing address will be discarded as soon as the completed survey form is returned.

The ingredients in the control we use are: Docosanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Mineral Oil, Propylene Glycol, Purified Water, Sucrose Distearate, Sucrose Stearate. Please do not enroll if you are sensitive to any of these ingredients.
