Directions:
- Algalaid is most effective when used at the first sign of a cold sore
- Completely remove soap, lip balms or other substances with water prior to application
- Apply to affecte lip area liberally and often
- Wash hands before and after applying AlgalAid
- Avoid contact with your eyes
- Children under 12 years of age: consult a doctor

Take precautions to avoid infecting others. Infection may be severe and dangerous if it occurs in or near the eye, or in immunosuppressed people. Herpes infection of the eye can cause scarring of the cornea, and is a leading cause of blindness in the United States.
When to Contact a Medical Professional:
Call for an appointment with your health care provider if symptons persists for more than 12 days. Call if symptoms are severe, or if you have a disorder associated with immunosuppression and you develop herpes symptoms.
